Drey: Getting Back to the Top
Reaching the top is difficult... But getting back there after having experienced the worst is even more so.

While still in his early career with Monroe Mustangs in New Rochelle, NY, De’Aundrey aka Drey could already see himself making it to the NFL before he experienced the worst injury of his young football career.
At his young age he has already experienced one of the worst challenges in the life of an athlete: being taken away from the fields and from his professional goals.

Family first
In those moments, everyone finds a different source of motivation allowing them to face the challenges of recovery.
For Drey, it is the support of his family and in particular his mother which mattered the most. They have always believed in him and allowed him to consider with hope a return to the field at his best level.

Drey could also find support with his coaches who played a crucial role in his recovery by giving him special attention and allowing him to return to the pitch quickly after his hamstring injury.
Now, he’s taking his comeback step by step with a more mature approach. His goal is to regain playing time in D1 and keep working on getting his body stronger so he can dream of the NFL again.
“Always believe in whatever you have faith in. Just always keep that first before anything.”

USUH (Untold Stories Unsung Heroes) is an original NUMERO10 documentary mini-series project highlighting individuals who change the world, their world, in their own way through passion and unrestrained involvement.
They are our heroes, carry our values and have much more to offer to the rest of the world than their performances.
They are what we call real NUMERO10s.
