“Really, the most important thing is humility. After a while, at a certain level, the best are not necessarily the most talented but those who work the hardest.”
– Jennifer Batu

Imagine a hammer thrower
Most people wouldn't immediately think of a young woman and almost no one would think of a young black woman… Apart from those who have crossed paths with Jennifer.
Good thing is she made it difficult not to have heard of her this year when it comes to varsity track and field sports in the US.

After joining Life University in 2022, Jennifer did not wait long to mark the history of her university and of varsity sports in general. Just months after her first practices in Marietta, Georgia, Jennifer wrote her name in stone by being crowned NAIA National Champion and throwing the 3rd best shot in the association history.
She says it herself: what makes her proud is her ability to adapt and her positive mindset, two qualities that allow her to evolve at the highest level and prepare for the biggest deadline of her life, Paris 2024 Olympics.
Power and grace, Jennifer has it all.

USUH (Untold Stories Unsung Heroes) is an original NUMERO10 documentary mini-series project highlighting individuals who change the world, their world, in their own way through passion and unrestrained involvement.
They are our heroes, carry our values and have much more to offer to the rest of the world than their performances.
They are what we call real NUMERO10s.
